Long Weekend Diaries: Part 2

Random fact about me: I’m a mood writer. When my mood’s off, I usually can’t write substantially. Much less, properly.

I really wanted to write extensively for Part 2 of my Long Weekend Diaries but I just feel so out of my element. Will post photos, instead. This post is dedicated to one person I really miss.

5 Random Things about the Curious Cat

1. The Ever-Nervous Adventure Seeker

In my mind, I play myself out to be a Dora the Explorer type minus the purple backpack and China doll bangs. Can I say that I delude myself that I’m an adventurous person? Sometimes, haha. And it frequently ends in bouts of nervousness.

Case in point:

Bohol 2012 – Crossing the Hanging Bridge

I was so game to cross the bridge and was even encouraging a friend of mine who had a fear of heights and was understandably nervous about the whole thing to go for it. The chicken that I am, I gulped when I saw the river under the bridge and came face to face with the bridge itself. In the end, I was so slow in walking that I had to be overtaken. Haha!

Corregidor 2012 – Bumpy Boat Ride

I guess the waves weren’t so very cooperative that day and I got seasick after my first 10 minutes in the boat. :)) I was so enthusiastic about the whole thing and so optimistic that I wouldn’t get sick when J warned me about the possibly bumpy ride. So yeah, that’s why I became a regular office worker and not a maritime person. Hehe. 😀

Sagada 2012 – Caving and Spelunking

There had been a lot of warnings about the whole caving and spelunking thing to be difficult and of course I had to pay no heed to all of it. My headstrong self still wanted to prove everyone wrong. I guess it’s quite obvious how it all ended – not even halfway through the cave, our guide told us that the girls in the group cannot proceed with the tour as we were not ‘physically prepared’ for it. Too bad, I still plan to come back sometime in the future and explore the whole cave! 😀 (never say die, they say, haha)

Curious Cat Goes to: BOHOL! (Part 3 of 3)

And the Curious Cat is blogging despite the bad weather. Perfect weather for a nap, though. Hehe. 😀

In my last two posts, we’ve been to several places. We visited the Blood Compact monument then proceeded to the Baclayon Church. We dined at the Rio Verde Floating Restaurant and connected with nature at the Butterfly Museum, the Man-Made Forest, Choocolate Hills and the Tarsier Sanctuary. And lastly, there was the “death-defying” experience at the Hanging Bridge (lol). You can read about it here and here.

For the last installment of the Bohol vacation, I share with you our gastronomic experience at the Bohol Bee Farm. The mere awesomeness of the place merits a special mention in the Curious Cat’s journal. Wheeee, talking about food always leaves my eyes twinkling like stars. Haha! Let’s go!

Curious Cat Goes to: BOHOL! (Part 2 of 3)

To recap the Curious Cat’s countryside tour in Bohol…

We’ve been to the Blood Compact monument, the Baclayon Church, and to the Rio Verde Floating Restaurant. Read more about it here.

In continuation of the day, we will be visiting the Butterfly Museum, the Man-Made Forest and Chocolate Hills. We will also be seeing the teeny tiny tarsier as well as crossing the Hanging Bridge!

Ready? Set. Go! (I feel like Dora the Explorer at this point. LOL.)

Curious Cat Goes to: BOHOL! (Part 1 of 3)

Yes, the Curious Cat meowed its way to Bohol this month of July!

The bad: I had to miss out on the first day of the 3-day trip due to work. As a result, no beach-bumming for the cat. 😦

The good: The lady from the travel agency convinced me to miss out on the beach instead of the day 2 countryside tour. Good because I totally enjoyed it! 🙂

Instead of photospamming everyone, I discovered these neat storyboard templates and arranged selected photos from my trip. The result? An orderly showcase of lovely photos and memories immortalized! Cool! 😀

Ready for some of the cat’s meowmeows? Let’s go a-travelin’!
